Financial Donation

The Newstead House Trust is responsible for the care of magnificent Newstead House and the significant collections it contains. Please help us protect this precious place for future generations by making a donation or leaving a gift in your will. The Newstead House Trust is registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission. Donations made to the Newstead House Trust greater than $2.00 are tax deductable.

Current Projects urgently needing funding:

1.  Gutters and Downpipes    $  75,000.00

2.  Re roofing with Welsh slate to match original   $ 300,000.00

3.  Waterproofing the retaining wall under veranda   $ 60,000.00

4. Repaint Newstead House   $ 75,000.00

5.  Updating of the Conservation Management Plan & History   $ 35,000.00

Collection Donation

The collections of Newstead House are largely the result of generous donations. Donations and purchases continue to strengthen this significant collection, and will ensure that a diverse range of the Newstead House experience is represented.

The Cultural Gifts Program

The Cultural Gifts Program encourages Australians to donate items of cultural significance from private collections to public art galleries, museums, libraries and archives.

Gifts can range from paintings, books, sculptures, manuscripts and personal papers to jewellery, ceramics — even entire technological, mechanical, scientific or social history collections.

If you already have a will and would like to update it with a gift to The Newstead House Trust, we can provide appropriate wording for a codicil if required.
