EXCITING NEWS: 1 July 2020
We have been fortunate to receive substantial funding from the State Government for the restoration and refurbishment of Newstead House. This is long overdue and ensures the future of our beautiful and iconic landmark. This work is due to start in August 2020, and as a result, we will not be reopening our doors until after the completion of the restoration project in 2021.
This is an exciting moment in time for Newstead House, Brisbane’s oldest standing residence and we look forward to sharing the journey with you!
PUBLIC OPENING DAYS
Friday 10am – 2pm
Saturday 10am – 2pm
Sunday 10am – 4pm
On opening days we offer a daily tour at 11.30am which is included in your entry price. Our passionate guides will take you on an hour long exploration of Newstead House looking at our history, the collection and the people who have lived in our beautiful home.
All other times by prior arrangement.

ADMISSION All prices are inclusive of GST
Children – up to two children complimentary with accompanying adult, and any additional children at concession price.

There is no need to book, simply advise the attendant at our front door desk. Daily tours take place at 11.30am are included in the entry price, and operate on the following days:
Whether you are a tour operator, special interest group, club or group of friends, Newstead House is a superb venue to visit. When visiting your group can undertake either a self guided tour or book a guided tour making your experience even more intimate.
Tours generally last for 60 minutes and can be tailored to fit your itinerary. Let us know your special interest, for example interior design, architecture or gardening and our guides will try to tailor their focus to this. All our tours are in English.
